The Shakti within us
There is a power beyond comprehension and logic that thrives on belief alone. It spans across countries and religion but the undeniable truth is that it is bigger than humanity itself. The reverence attributed to gods and goddesses is an essential part of Indian culture and tradition. The captivating presence of Goddess Shakti reverberates far and loud across temples and innumerable Indian homes. Stories of the many embodiments of the almighty goddess find their relevance even today making them immortal.
Goddess
Durga who was created by the combination of the powers of the Lord Brahma ,
Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva was victorious in ending the reign of terror of the
demon Mahishasura. Goddess Bala Tripurasundari , portraying a young innocent
girl valiantly defeated a demon who preyed on the vulnerability of women. Any
story about Indian Goddesses is incomplete without the mention of Goddess Kali
whose righteous rage successfully vanquished the Demon Rakhtabheej. Goddess
Kali ensured that not a single drop of the demon’s blood fell on mother Earth
thereby destroying any chance of his rebirth.
Every woman
carries the aura of the divine Shakti within her as she bravely faces the
everyday challenges with courage and determination. She never gives up but
keeps on pushing with complete faith in her ability and strength. All of us
have that ray of hope within us that will keep the darkness away and allow us
to shine in our own unique ways.
